Educated primarily at the University of Michigan, Nathaniel Stanton received both his Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Structural Engineering degrees concurrently in 1998.  Seeking the intersection of the two fields, Mr. Stanton also pursued his Doctorate in Architecture from 2003 to 2006 at the University of Michigan  before refocusing his efforts back into industry.

Prior to graduation, in 1997, Mr. Stanton studied both Architecture and Structural Engineering as a guest student  at the Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule (ETH) in Zurich.  This experience in particular focused his career on the pursuit of Architecture through the medium of Structural Engineering.  At the undergraduate level, Mr. Stanton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.  Mechanical Engineering, in this sense, focuses on the analysis and design of components of structure.  This background has been particularly relevant to his work on projects with geometrical, analytical and material complexity.
