GeoTem 4 is an evolution of the GeoTem mobile art installation by the artist collective Disorient. GeoTem refers to a geometric temple whose installations grow increasingly more complex with each iteration. The structure is an assembly of octahedrons fabricated from single eight foot long 2x4 members connected with bent metal plates at their endpoints. The conceptual intent of the sculpture is to maximize the overall assembly through an iterative analytical methodology limited by the structural capacity of the individual member.
